Susan has been with the firm since 1996 and has always worked in the Credit Union Department on the general collection cases. The firm has grown a great deal over the years but when she started with the firm she was a department of one and performed every task associated with a non-litigated regular collection case from the day the suit request arrived in the office until the judgment was paid in full.
As the firm’s business grew, new software was implemented which automated a lot of the day-to-day tasks associated with the collection files. Susan set up and customized our newest software to conform with Michigan state law, our firm and our clients' needs. She also produced the internal instruction manual for the software and the standard operating procedures for the collection files.
In addition to her supervisory responsibilities in the collection department, Susan also manages and supervises the staff in the firm’s newest department, which is our Credit Union Contingent Department.
Susan also meets with new clients to answer questions and discuss procedures to ensure good communication between our firm and a new credit union. She also meets with existing clients for periodic staff training regarding the basic steps in the litigation process and tips on how a client can save money on their legal expenses.
"Its always the small stuff that trips you up and I work very hard at making things easy."
